The brief
The project team wanted the work on the record: a long alignment, flood management. The audience was clients and the industry, not the public.
What made it hard
Engineers who do not want to be on camera, a site that is mostly earthworks, and a story that is genuinely about hydrology. None of that is a picture by default.
Storyboard first
Thirty slides before a frame was shot: what each section needs to say, which interview answers it, and which graphic carries the part the camera cannot.

Interviews that explain
Questions written so the answers cut together as narration. The interviewees explain the flood design in their own words; the titles only name things.

Graphics that carry the hydrology
Flood-management is invisible on site. A short motion sequence shows where the water goes, timed to the engineer describing it.
